About IgniteU STEAM
The NYSTEC STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program addresses the systemic barriers in STEAM education, particularly within marginalized communities that typically do not seek careers in STEAM, that include a lack of successful programs and exposure to STEAM careers and role models. Through an innovative model, this program collaborates with a consortium of community stakeholders to include students, faculty/teachers, and professionals who will work together to promote STEAM initiatives and programming.
